The Gliddiots (idiots of Gliddenshire) in Sturgeon Bay, WI play original music of Indie Pop, Rock n Roll, Americana, and more. A unique blend of ingredients, the Gliddiots make great musical soup embracing Peace, Love, and Rock ‘n Roll. The Gliddiots are a ‘house band’ of the Hitching Post at the top of Glidden Drive.

  • Guitar, Vocals, Music Creator, and Founder

    Danny Mantynband has been infatuated with music from the first note he heard. Danny started playing guitar at age 14. Hist first gig was the Chicago Civic Center with his brother and two cousins. Graduate of The Puppet School of Sherman Oaks. Dan plays Guitar, Vocals, Piano and loves to write songs. Music Highlights include: Indian Battle of the Bands - 1st place!, Steel Bridge Songfest, and Saturday nights at the Post!

  • Paula Latta, Bass Guitar and Vocals.

    Paula is a lover of all music since a kid when she could be found leaping in a gazebo to the ‘sound of music’ or singing into a brush to the Partridge Family. More recently, Paula has embraced the Bass Guitar and Gliddiot Peace, Love and Rock! Paula’s favorite venue is the Hitching Post, Door County Wisconsin. Paula and Kelly also enjoy an annual gig as a ‘Woman Troublemaker with Cathy Grier.

  • Sound Man, Roadie

    When originally asked to join The Gliddiots, Ralph joked that he only plays the radio. He has evolved! Now, he fine tunes our sound mix and carries a heavy load.

  • Sweatheart and Sound Man

    Hans helps us on our musical journey by creating a great environment in Studio 330, Sturgeon Bay. When he can, Hans assists as our Sound Man!

  • Our favorite venue and a favorite spot among locals and vacationers alike. The log building was built by Ewald Schmock in 1949.
